DESCRIPTION: Iscove's Modified Dulbecco's Medium (IMDM) is a modification of Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM) that includes selenium, additional amino acids and vitamins, sodium pyruvate, and HEPES buffer. Furthermore, in IMDM, ferric nitrate (iron) is replaced with potassium nitrate. IMDM is well suited for rapidly proliferating cultures of high cell density. When supplemented with albumin, transferrin, and soy lipids it can be excellently applied for culturing lymphocytes, marrow cells, or hybridoma cells.
